We have just remodeled the showers, put shelves into the closet, and purchased new kitchen appliances.

Step out of the back door into a semi-private grassy area with a palm tree.  Head over to the main swimming pool, one of the smaller pools or the putting green.  The development also has tennis and pickleball courts.

The Dog Aging Project

The Dog Aging Project at the University of Washington is currently engaged in research on duffy1understanding dog aging and using medications to potentially enhance life span. The team is also currently being reviewed for a grant that would allow them to conduct an enormous longitudinal study on dog aging involving some 10,000 dogs from across America.

Our 2 bedroom, pet-friendly condo in Palm Springs is available to rent.  Mention your favorite dog park and we will make a supporting donation.  There are several dog parks in the Palm Springs area, as well as dog hikes in the Palm Springs, Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage area.  We are building the list, so let us know if you have favorite dog-friendly restaurant or dog hike to add please let us know.

As we discover new restaurants – dog-friendly (in the above menu) and those where dogs are not welcome (Follow the link at the bottom to non-dog activities) – we will be builidng the lists on these pages.

The development requires dogs to be on leash.  When we are hanging out on the back patio, we keep the sliding glass doors open and use a 50 ft leash which lets Duffy run in and out of the house.  The unit is in a spacious area in the back of a gated community.  Rental rates vary by the season and special events in the area which drive tourism.

2 bedroom palm springs dogYes, we have a two-bedroom, two bath, ground-floor, one-level condo in Palm Springs that is available to rent.  Rates vary by the season and special events in the area which drive tourism.

But if you are looking for a relaxing place to vacation with your dog or cat, look no further!

The development has a putting green to practice your short golf game, 8 swimming pools, tennis courts, pickleball courts and a barbeque area with natural gas grills.

We and our friends have used the unit to recovery from knee replacement – as the toilets are ADA compliant, the showers have grab bars – and the master bath is a walk in and everything is easily accessible with a walker or a cane.

Palm Springs: Whitewater Preserve Dog Hike

Whitewater Preserve is 2,851 acres surrounded by the Bureau of Land Management’s San Gorgonio Wilderness, and includes the year-round Whitewater River.  The Whitewater Trail Map is here.  Much of the land was donated to the Bureau of Land Management by the Nature Conservatory – be sure to check here to learn about the current conditions.
